Tags: drivers razer ripsaw synapse 2. I've owned my razer ripsaw capture card since It's worked great with streaming on streamlabs obs. Recently I built a new PC with windows 11, and I read that I need to download the drivers on razer synapse 2.

However, once I have razer synapse running, it tells me to plug in my razer product in order to update the drivers, however synapse 2. My PC already detects the device in the device manager, and I am plugging in my capture card into a 3.

I tried to get help from Razer and here is what they said: "Hello, The only way to capture audio in OBS is by forcing it to the desktop from the system unfortunately. This is just due to the nature of capture cards. If you wanted the sound to remain through the system, you would not be able to capture said sound.

Best Regards, James H. Razer Support Tier II". Jim Jim. Great, a new capture device comes out, and yet again it seems I'll have to add more device-specific code. It really frustrates me that people cannot write decent drivers for their devices at all, or have to continually do non-standard things at every god forsaken turn.

Anyway, I'll buy the device and fix the problem if there is any. Jim, You are doing divine work. Thank you! Shinobi New Member. Any update on this? LEmental said:. PenguinGuy New Member. Did anyone get a black screen as your video with the capture unit?

I get no Audio and just a black screen. Spencer Yeldell New Member. Has this been fixed yet? I am using If somebody can let us know if this was fixed any other way then using the force through computer sound that would be awesome.

I use an Astro headset to try and let myself balance the sound of game volume through optical and computer sound through usb. But forcing the sound through my computer doesn't allow me to do that because I'm hearing game sound on the optical and computer sound and trying to adjust them with a volume mixer makes obs studio unable to hear game sound if I try and turn it down on the computer so I don't hear it on two sides and can control the mix using my mix amp.

Scott Magee New Member. I think the problem is they really don't want us to be using obs at all. I've had same problems discussed above. I've found the only way to get audio from the razed ripsaw was to use their game caster app If that's the case I feel it's a bit of false advertising to talk of great compatibility with obs, but in truth they cut the sound. They want to include obs in advertising in my opinion, simply because so many people love and use obs.

So saying obs is fully compatible would lure a lot more sales. Not fact, just my thoughts on razed ripsaw. There maybe other methods to do this, but I want to share how I got it working. Stream Xbox games. Fast computer and at least 2 monitors, and a gtx graphics card. I use gtxti A good internet speed is also recommended for streaming upload speed is also important. I'm not sure what the lowest usable internet speed is, as I use nbn in Australia with mbs download and 40 mbs upload.

Ext important device is Razer Ripsaw capture card. Connect hdmi out of Xbox to Ripsaw hdmi in. Connect a second hdmi cable to hdmi socket in graphics card in computer.

Connect usb3 cable into Ripsaw usb3 out socket and into usb3 on computer. It must be USB 3, blue socket in your graphics card. Download razer Ripsaw software from their website.

Install the driver software. Download game caster. Start Xbox It should be viewable on the computer monitor when you open gamecaster. Go to twitch.

Sign in or create an account. Follow directions in gamecaster to begin streaming.
